Enterprise Partnership · 0→1
A 0→1 enterprise insurance partnership
Co-led a new self-service product built with a major enterprise insurer — from the first partner conversation through a live alpha pilot.
Validated a new product and revenue path in a live alpha pilot.
Goal
Build a brand-new product line with an enterprise insurance partner — something that didn’t exist on either side at the start.
The problem
High-power home upgrades create real electrical risk, and an insurer carries that risk. There was an opportunity: a self-service way for homeowners to assess electrical risk before they upgrade, valuable to the homeowner, the installer network, and the insurer at once. But “an opportunity” isn’t a product. Someone had to define it, scope it, and prove it worked.
What I did
I co-led the product side of the partnership from zero.
- Defined the product with the partner. Joint scoping with the insurer — what the product did, who it served, how it would go to market.
- Designed the experience. A self-service flow that pairs computer vision with expert human review, so homeowners get a fast assessment they can trust.
- Coordinated across teams. The work crossed multiple internal product and engineering teams plus a central AI team and the external partner.
- Ran a live alpha pilot. Took the product into the field with real homeowners to test whether the model — assessment to completed work — held up. It did.
Outcome
The alpha pilot validated both the product and a multi-year revenue path with the partner, and set up expansion to other insurers.
